Your engineers build machines. Not manuals.
Yet that is exactly where valuable time disappears: every design change triggers a chain of manual work – and every copy is a potential source of error.
“The machine is finished. But it can’t ship until the documentation is.”
Copy & paste instead of engineering
BOMs, part numbers and images are transferred by hand from CAD and ERP into Word, InDesign or Excel.
Documents go stale before they are finished
One design change – and the manual, the parts list and every translation are out of date.
Every language multiplies the effort
Translations cost budget, coordination and time – and introduce new errors.
Gaps in documentation are liability risks
Missing safety notes or wrong spare parts cost far more than any software when things go wrong.
From CAD model to finished documentation – in three steps.
proquodo uses the data that already exists in your engineering. Set it up once, and documentation practically writes itself.
Connect
proquodo reads assemblies, bills of materials, part properties and 3D models directly from CAD, PDM and ERP.
Generate
Smart templates and AI structure the content, place images, item numbers and safety notes – in your corporate design.
Publish
As PDF, HTML or XML – or directly as an interactive online spare parts catalog with 3D view. In every language you need.
One data source. Every document.
Technical documentation on autopilot
Operating, assembly and maintenance instructions, parts lists and product catalogs are generated straight from your engineering data. When the design changes, the documentation follows automatically.
- Template-based – set up once, reuse forever
- AI assistance for structure, text and consistency
- Multilingual with terminology management
- Export as PDF, HTML and XML
The spare parts catalog your customers actually enjoy using
Your customers find the right part in seconds – in the interactive 3D model, in the BOM or via search. And send the request straight to your service team.
- Exactly the machine and version installed at the customer
- 3D view with exploded view
- Request list sent to your service team in one click
- White label: your logo, your colors, your domain

This is how easily your customers find the right part.

Machine, version and location at a glance – with a linked bill of materials.

One click takes the assembly apart – every part becomes visible and selectable.

Pick a part in 3D or in the list, view documents and request it.
Less routine. More impact.
Engineering
No more documentation rework after every change. Your data is the documentation.
Technical writing
Focus on clarity and safety instead of copy & paste and layout.
Service & spare parts
Clear requests with part numbers instead of photos, queries and wrong deliveries.
Management
Ship faster, document compliantly, grow your spare parts business.

spare parts information for your customers
New rules apply from 20 January 2027. Be prepared.
The Machinery Regulation replaces the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC – with no transition period and directly applicable in every EU member state. Requirements for documentation, software and traceability go up for manufacturers.
Published in the Official Journal of the EU
Entry into force
Start of the 42-month preparation period.
Date of application
New machinery must comply – only … days left.
Market surveillance
Authorities check conformity and technical documentation under the new law.
Digital instructions permitted
Under conditions: downloadable, printable and available for the machine’s lifetime – at least 10 years. proquodo delivers online catalog and PDF from one source.
Keep technical documentation for 10 years
proquodo versions every release immutably – each machine stays linked to its revision.
Substantial modification = new docs
Whoever substantially modifies machinery becomes its manufacturer. With proquodo you regenerate documentation instead of rewriting it.
Cybersecurity & software
Protection against corruption becomes mandatory. Our catalog is built to recognized security standards.
Your engineering data is your capital. We treat it that way.
Hosted in Europe
The online catalog runs in a data center in Europe – GDPR compliant.
Strictly separated data
A dedicated database and storage per manufacturer, encrypted with its own key.
Two-factor & passkeys
Every sign-in uses a second factor – authenticator app or passkey.
Security by design
Built to OWASP ASVS, aligned with ISO 27001 / BSI and the Cyber Resilience Act.

Answers before you ask
What is proquodo?
proquodo is technical documentation software for machine and plant manufacturers. It automatically generates operating, assembly and maintenance instructions, parts lists and digital spare parts catalogs from existing engineering data in CAD, PDM and ERP.
Which systems does proquodo work with?
proquodo works with CAD systems including Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, ZWCAD and BricsCAD, with ERP systems such as SAP and AMS, and with engineering tools such as EPLAN and SolidCAM – and many more. We work out the best connection for your system landscape together in the demo.
Can I deliver instructions digitally under the Machinery Regulation?
Yes – Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 allows instructions for use in digital format. They must be downloadable and printable and remain available for the lifetime of the machinery, but at least 10 years. If the purchaser requests it at the time of purchase, a paper version must be provided free of charge; for non-professional users, safety information must be supplied on paper.
What is the difference between proquodo and proquodo parts?
proquodo is the software you use to generate documentation from your engineering data. proquodo parts is the online spare parts catalog where your customers see their machines with 3D model, BOM and documents and request spare parts. Both work with the same data.
Where is our data stored?
The online spare parts catalog is operated in a data center in Europe. Each manufacturer gets its own encrypted database and file storage.
Which languages can I document in?
proquodo is designed for multilingual output: part names and content are maintained per language and reused. The spare parts catalog interface is available in German and English; more languages can be added.
More time for what you do best: building machines.
We’ll show you live how your data becomes finished documentation and an online spare parts catalog – no obligation, tailored to your products.
